Down To The Wire (Horn)

Written by Lee Ellen King

Today is the last day for Multi Block. The horn will sound tonight at 10:00pm. All tools have to be put down and the carvers must leave their sites. The warm weather did not help anyone so today there is a feeling of panic and last minute frantic activity. Many of the carvers worked all night through. The blocks of ice are being transformed into breathtaking objet d’art; each site is different. They are fun, whimsical, intricate, delicate….not enough adjectives in the English language. The judging begins shortly after that horn sounds.
