AWAY –

If you live more than 50 miles from Fairbanks, Ice Alaska will provide accommodation, transportation to/from the park as well as onsite meals during shifts.  Volunteers must be available to commit to at least 14 days in Fairbanks to qualify for our hospitality package.  Within those two weeks you will volunteer 12 days, 6 hours (2 shifts) per day with 2 days off.

LOCAL –

3 hour shifts are scheduled from 11:30am to 10 pm in Ticketing, Gift shop, Security, Maintenance and First Aid. Non-shift volunteer roles are also available all day depending on interest, skills and availability.  Meals complimentary for those that give 6 hours + in a day, otherwise there are a variety of snacks & drinks available. You are always welcome to enjoy the art and attractions at the park on the days you volunteer.

LOCAL VOLUNTEER REWARDS –

We value the time and energy of our awesome volunteers, so we have a “Cool Kids Rewards” program! Milestones for givers of all kinds!

• NEW THIS YEAR! Bi-weekly raffle for prizes sponsored by local businesses and Ice Alaska supporters! Drawing is open to all who volunteer during the previous two weeks.

• 9 hours (or 3 shifts) – an Ice Alaska pin

• 18 hours (or 6 shifts) – Pin + Ice Alaska shirt 

• 36 hours (or 12 shifts)  – Pin + Shirt + 10 “punch” card

• 74 hours (or 24 shifts) – All of the above plus a hoodie and free swim pass at Chena Hot Springs, which is an hour drive from Fairbanks.
