Finishing Touches

Written by leeellenking

With less than an hour until the horn blows, everyone is clambering and scuffling to finish their artwork. They are working to clean up the surface of the ice and cover up any cuts that aren’t smooth. When the signal sounds, the kids have one hour to clean their sites.

One of the mentors was using a propane torch to help clear the ice of one of the sculptures. I was mesmerized when I saw this because the ice instantly went from cloudy to crystal clear.
